The City of Waterloo is prequalifying playground, splash pad, and water play equipment suppliers to provide the supply of all labour, material and equipment necessary for the design, and installation of playground, splashpad play elements and associated surfacing at St. Moritz Park.

This project would see the construction of a playground (Project A) and a splash pad (Project B) at St Moritz Park while increasing opportunity for play and public interaction serving Wards 1 and 2. The total funding available for the design, supply and install of the playground including surfacing is not to exceed $335,000 (excluding taxes) and the total funding available for the design, supply and install of the splash pad including surfacing is not to exceed $175,000 (excluding taxes).

Applicants are invited to bid on the playground, splash pad or both the playground and splash pad. Bidding for one or both projects will not affect the evaluation process which will be completed for each project separately.

This RFPQ will be a “one-step” procurement process, and the successful applicant(s) will be provided with a Notice of Pre-Qualification from the City by which their design and products will be named and specified in the final tender documents. Once the tender is awarded to a General Contractor, the successful applicant(s) will act as subcontractor(s) to the successful General Contractor.
